Originally released as a demo on SheezyArt, the full version was released in 2009 to SheezyArt and Newgrounds (original hosts). This was eventually changed towards the end of development for Super Mario 63 v1.1 and between v1.2, when the final amount for Shines Sprites and Star Coins was both set to 64. And later, between Super Mario Sunshine 128 v1.2-1.3 development, the total amount of Shine Sprites and Star Coins has been set to 64 Shine Sprites and 63 Star Coins, yes, 63 Star Coins. As he said in old comments on the site "Sheezyart" the game was never thought of as a sequel, only as a remake.Īt some point between 2006-2007, Super Mario 63 (formerly Super Mario Sunshine 128) was confirmed to be a full game. Later, Runouw decided to do a remake version of this game, and named it Super Mario Sunshine 128. Runouw made it firstly with the level designer, which is old, so there were some bugs. The first game, Super Mario Sunshine 64, was released in 2005.
